What's the best thing about your mom?
What WAS the best thing about my Mom (she passed away in 2002)? That she loved her children and would do anything in her power to help them.
I miss you, Mom.
What is your deepest, darkest fear?
Submitted by [Susan].
Disappointing my Lord.
Is He going to banish me? No, I truly, honestly don't believe so. But being the cause of making Him sad, or disappointed in me...? Makes me want to do anything in my power to change that.
Show us something that is standing in your way.
Sometimes it feels as if it would be a picture of myself, head in hands...being held back by fear.
What do you daydream about? Is it something far-fetched, or something that might actually happen?

Could happen...far-fetched...sometimes they seem like the same thing.
I'd love to own a restaurant.
I'd love to be a published author.
Both could potentially happen...both could potentially never happen.
Ironic that today's Vox Hunt is "what is standing in your way". Because sometimes it seems as if it should be a picture of myself.

I watched it three times in a row...and cried every time.
Show us your job.
It's a good company, with good business ethics.
They pay well and they have good benefits for the employees.
You definitely work for your money.
You need to be prepared to do whatever is necessary for the day.
For example...today I was at the exit door marking receipts,
at the entrance door counting members coming in,
boxing merchandise at the checkout,
and pushing flatbed carts in at the end of the day.
This last Friday I cleaned the meat department at the end of the day.
When I was first hired, it was for the food court...selling pizzas, hot dogs, etc.
I like the variety, and I like that Costco cross-trains their employees to make them more effective workers.
I like that they expect your best.
Check out the NYTimes article, How Costco Became the Anti-Wal-Mart.
It's a great article, and is a perfect example of why I work at Costco.
What video game is your personal Game of the Year?

Ummm...I honestly don't think I've even played a video game this year (other than the occasional online one)...I've been too busy working.
